This is the chart of transition signals I told you about. It has most of them on just one page. When you study with it, consider not only the function, but also their names (subordinators, coordinators, etc). It's possible that the chart will lose the horizontal format, and become vertical upon downloading, so make the changes you consider necessary once the file is in your computers.

Dictionaries for your cell phones
Hello Everybody
As technology expands, it is almost a must to take advantage of it. At this rapidshare link, you'll be able to download a rar file with dictionaries for your cellphone. Once the download is complete, you'll need to open the file with Winrar. Once open, you'll see the different dictionary files available. Choose the ones you like and then copy them to your computer. From your computers, use your cellphones' usb cables and save the files you chose on OTHERS folder. Then open the exe file and install it in games and applications, and voila!... by the way you'll need JAVA in your cellphones as well as at least 5 megabytes of free memory for each dictionary you install.

Project
P – Ss work in groups to research and prepare a poster presentation on an unexplained phenomenon. Ss need to present Facts (concrete situations or data about the mystery), Theories (speculation or possible explanations by authorities on the field) and their own conclusions. The posters should contain visuals and texts. On presentation day, Ss hang all posters on the classrooms walls, and take turns explaining the topics while the other Ss read and listen.
Optional: Ss can also make a Powerpoint Presentation and upload it to the Icpna web page
Optional: Ss can also make a Powerpoint Presentation and upload it to the Icpna web page
Project
P – Group Work. Ss will search for a song’s lyrics containing grammar structures studied in class. Lyrics must not contain offensive or foul language. Ss will hand in a set of documents as written proof of their work. These documents include: the lyrics of the song chosen (with the examples of language they found properly highlighted), a pre-listening activity for the rest of the class to familiarize with the grammar point(s) in question, and a while-listening exercise for Ss to work on during the song’s playing. Additionally, Groups will photocopy and distribute the pre-listening and while-listening exercises for the rest of the class. Groups need to find the song in Youtube, and make sure it is available, so it can be played on the day of the presentation. The groups members are in charge of leading the class, giving instructions, checking answers, answering questions during their presentation. This is considered as part of the grade.
Project

The members of the family to be included are grandparents, parents, and brothers or sisters; more people may be included, but a max. of two addtional members. Project
Hello
I'd like to let you know about the project. these are the procedures to follow:
P- Choose an article which deals with an academic matter: Education, Environmental issues, Health sciences, Social Issues, Politic/economic issues. Once you have chosen the article, write a summary of it, following the procedures outlined in chapter 8 (page 136 - 138). Along with the summary, you need to include the original article and a personal impression on the article.
You may need to go online in order to find suitable articles. If you wish to go for topics first, the only thing you have to do is to type the topic and the word "article" in google, and hundreds of possibilities will pop up. If you want to go for a more commom source just type the name of the article and the word " wiki" and wikipedia will provide an infinite number of possibilities. If you wish to get fancy, you may also type the name of a well-recognized magazine along with the word "article". these are just some examples (they are not to be used by you)
you may also use an article from a magazine as long as it fulfills the requirements outlined above.
